Tuskegee Airmen, part IV

To all,

The fourth and final installment of the Tuskegee Airmen is in the final stages of construction. I just completed .dyn files for all of the missions tonight. There's a couple of tweaks that still need to be finished, but I'm working with Devildog73 on the readme and aircraft selection this week. This section will feature numerous escort missions, strafing runs, and other surprises.

After that, there will be a pack uploaded with the entire campaign, but that will not be immediate, because there will be some Corsica-based missions added to the mix, just for fun.

I'll have the readme done for Devildog's campaign this afternoon. I'd like one experienced beta tester to put these missions through the wringer, looking for problems and ensuring there are no major ones.

There are 36 missions in this pack, and will bring you up to the end of the war.

Thanks! :rapture:

The Tuskegee Airmen, pack IV is ready for beta testing. It's waiting for one airbase to finish it, but it is otherwise done. Anyone who wants it, PM me and I'll send it to you. :wavey:

The Tuskegee Airmen, pack IV, is now completed. I shipped it off to Devildog73 so that he can upload it, and therefore get proper credit. This is a tricky one, because you're flying out of Italy and attacking targets in both the Mediterranean, Eastern Europe, as well as Germany, Austria, and Czechoslovakia, which is essentially Central Europe.

So you'll have to decide where it fits inside your installs. Here is the campaign description:

" This set of missions starts in the early summer of 1944, beginning with numerous escort missions to targets as varied as Munich, Avignon, Auschwitz, and Ploesti. You start flying these in P-47 Thunderbolts, and then switch over to the P-51b Mustang, the mount which will remain yours (with a switch to the bubble-top model) for the remainder of the war. As German forces retreat towards the Reich itself, you will disrupt their withdrawal by strafing airbases, attacking vehicle convoys, ground targets, and busting trains. Despite miserable weather during the winter, you renew flying escort missions as the weather allows, attacking targets within and adjacent to the Third Reich. During these missions you will battle with aircraft equal or superior to your own: Me-262 jets, He-162 Salamanders, Fw-190 Doras, and even the Me-163 Komet. This will be a chance for you to put your two years of combat experience to the ultimate test, especially when you fly a raid on Berlin itself!"

Again, this one is high upon my list of things I need to make time for. Thanks Rami :medals: you're the greatest!

Rami,
I am so out of the loop with my real world work these days that I may be a while before I can get to the Tuskegee Airmen.

Please, upload them under your name. I do not need the credit and want them up for the rest of the guys. You and I built the missions and campaigns together with the indispensible help of Achim, Sopwith, and others on here. The Tuskegee Airmen campaigns are a joint venture of a number of people.

Get them out there, Buddy. They would not be what they are without you.

As you wish, my comrade.

Update: I uploaded it this morning. Please remember to thank Devildog73 and Achim27619, for their hard work in creating the missions and building needed bases, respectively. I only helped him with the missions and uploaded them.

Have fun!

Thank Rami. Those Airmen sure deserve a tribute campaign. This one is a great addition to our collection of historical base arial campaign for WW2.

Also want to thank Devildog73 and Achim27619!

Rami, Devildog and Achim....

TRIPLE WOW!!!!
:applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:
I only wish there were a few VFR objects, like a Roman aqueduct..Pisa's tower....Montecassino abbey....Florence bridges over the Arno river...to add a little Italian eye-candies to this outstanding campaign work.....

Cheers!
