U.S. NAVY AIR MUSEUM COLLECTION

Amazing museum tony2! What a great way to spend a day, or 2, or 3. The photos are great! I really like the F4U and the PBY. Wish I could go there.

If my plans don't fall through I'll be visiting the museum in November. My son should be home from the Afghan by then and we're going down to visit him and his family in Crestview, FL. Catch the P'cola air show and then spend a couple days browsing the museum.

I could spend days looking at the pictures, I don't know what I'd do if I actually visited!

I like the Bronco ready for paint, and the Kingfisher.

My son and I visited a few weeks back. The full-motion simulator has to be flown to be believed. Also, The F-14 simulator will blow you away...:jump:

If in Florida

Another great Florida aviation museum, in Titusville, is the Valiant Air Command. I was fortunate enough to help restore the F4F Wildcat on display there, and they have some beautifully restored aircraft. Their website is www.vacwarbirds.org.

The Naval Aviation museum is right up there with the Air Force museum Dayton, just an awesome place
