• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

When I moved my MS games folder over to my new rig, I lost my desk top icons to launch the ETO/PTO/MAW, so I've been going into the main folder and lauching from the exe. file. I took the ETO exe. file and moved it to the desktop and renamed it ETO, big mistake. Now it changed the attributes of the file and I can't seem to reverse what I've done...... any ideas?

Look in the main folders of ETO, MAW, and PTO for little files with an ico extension.

That's where they are on my XP machine.

Let me get this right. You just dragged and dropped the exe file onto your desktop and renamed the "eto.exe" to eto. Drag it back to its appropriate folder and rename it back to its original name, then just right click select 'Send To' 'Desktop(create shortcut)'.

My bad. I didn't read carefully enough. I thought you had merely lost the icons for the desktop shortcuts, which has happened to me on occasion.

Scottmm73 has the right answer.
