Unable to communicate with Wingmen in QC

I have recently returned to CFS2 after a long lay-off. I have since loaded three Spitfire models to the game: spitfire_VIII_caldwell, spitfire_XIVe_91sqn and spit-IX SAAF. When flying the latter model I can direct my wingmen and get their answers but when I fly the other two I can neither send or receive messages to/from my wingmen. Can anyone help me to understand why this happens and can it be corrected. I am reasonably computer literate and am becoming more familiar with the make-up of CFS2.

Check the nationality package...
