Very nice, but i hope that it will get a bit more dirtyer look. Will it?

USS America although the third ship of the class was completly different in appearance. The only ship that comes close to the Kitty Hawk was the Constitution.

Kitty Hawk and Constellation were even slightly different in regard to radar placement and even sorted weapon changes differed , America's differed only slight not having the the fresh air intakes on the starboard island and course the stack design is more square given room for the SPG55 Terrier which was removed in the mid 80s ... a few changes with boat bays but all in all so close to the untrained eyeball , just depended on how the ship handle the oceans weather it needed large refit or quick shop fix the three had same deck plan , leads me to one question , the fresh air intakes , are they those below the deck directly under the island structure on CV-66 ?

Really glad you're liking it! We're rounding up the creation of new features and about to enter into a mode of buff and polish.

Love the addition of the Kitty Hawk. The four ships of that "sort of almost kind of" class have been a huge hole in the "carrier scenery" out there in FSX land. The F-14 is looking good too... :icon_lol:

Looks awesome!
The F-14A is THE Tomcat... while I am quite proud of my own F-14D, that variant was chosen because of the source material I had available (let alone the fact I could reuse the NACES model)!

I did not see any reference in the previous posts, but will Kitty Hawk be useable with Lamont Clark's utility AI Carriers?
This is looking great!

(Navy81) Yup indeed, the Kitty Hawk will have configs for AI Carriers and is already integrated into TacPack as a spawnable carrier.

(Dino) As always, you're a class act.

And yours will be the go-to for the D-cat, Dino...it's truly a work of art and the constant refinements that you do will keep it in the hangar for quite some time!

I remember many moons ago (a little off-topic) when Microprose's F-14 Fleet Defender came out, they had actually based the in-game F-14 engines on the F-14A+/B due to the Cat's original
engines being a handful to manage. The developers said at the time that they had initially used the engines for the "A" model but found that they had to spend more time managing the
engines than actually playing the sim/game.....so they switched out the engines as a development decision to make it a better experience for the player.

What with Dino and other developers incorporating Weapons programs into their models, it's a good time to be in the FSX world. :applause::applause::applause: Maybe we'll see FLEET DEFENDER lite become a
reality within FSX itself one day.

Having been a Tomcat fanatic since I saw Top Gun as a kid, Fleet Defender was a dream come true at the time. Absolutely the best F-14 rendition at the time (and even a little more complex than I could handle). Its only drawback was the fact that, at the time, 640x480 resolution started to be popular for many games... and Fleet Defender was 320x200.

...Do ya feel the need, the need for...?

I love -=TOP=GUN=- too!

It's a shame that here in Germany the movie was not shown in IMAX-theaters in 3D... I prayed for that but then, Tony Scott jumped from the bridge and paramount-pictures decided to not show it outside the US i think. So finaly i bought the 3D BluRay and watched it on my 40" LCD TV, it looks really nice but the !!"WOW"!! effect is missing. I think you have to watch it in cinema on a monster screen!
I'm afraid of what they will do with TOP GUN 2 which Jerry Bruckheimer and Tom Cruise confirmed that it will come!

One of the Movie Cats, look at the VF(A)...
