• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I tried three separate times to upload some scenery files and each time I get an error message that tells me that the "Message" is too short and must contain at least 445 characters (I think that was the number). I've uploaded enough here to know that the length of the description can be relatively short or fairly long, and mine was probably 5 lines long. Not sure why the problem, but it may be connected to the downtime we experienced earlier.

I'll just let Rami figure it out, lol.:salute:

Falcon,

The download area is working...but your problem may be related to what Canelo is working on. One of the recent updates has caused some...snafus...lets put it that way, and he's working hard to untangle the crossed wires. I'll give you an "all clear" when we're good. :mixedsmi:

UPDATE: I spoke too soon Rami. . .no joy. Here's what I see when I try to upload. . .and by the way, the character count is never the same, so it's reading the characters in my description and then telling me how many more I need before it will accept it.

Upload problem?

I notice the warbirds section is up again...when I try and upload, it will not accept for message being too short (less than 95 characters) so I upped it to over that and tried again..this time it says I need more than 305 characters...is this going to be fixed soon?

Yea, Rami thought it was fixed until I tried for the 4th time this morning to upload something and still got the same message. I posted a screenshot for him so he can see what we're getting. Hopefully it'll be fixed pretty soon.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to pass along another update...I sent another message to the highest senior staff on the issue, I hope the matter will be solved with all due speed. As soon as I know, so will you.

I tried to upload with Firefox 11 and wirh IE9, and experienced the same problem all of you are having. :mixedsmi:

As you are well aware, there have been some "issues" here the last few days with the navigation taskbar and the inability of users to upload new stuff. It would appear that the software update done last weekend caused more than a few snafus.

Rest assured that the database has not been compromised...and I will post direct links to the library here for you to have access to it.

Ickie and Canelo are still working on it. Trust me when I say that, because I can only imagine the frustration. They've been doing updates and other stuff each night, and it's still a tangled mess. Rest assured, however, that the database has not been compromised.

I was able to upload a package this morning without a problem, so why don't you try uploading any new files that you have, and we'll see how it goes. :running:
