If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Some of you may remember a while ago (maybe a year?) I posted a bit on how viruses were using Java to hide in a PC.

I was at that time provided instructions from a friend on how to disable Java's temporary internet files which was where these bastages were hiding.

Well here we go again.

Oracle issues patch for Java loopholes

You might want to update your Java.

Thanks Dave for the excellent reminder . "Bastages" I like this word too . I am going to add it to my daily conversations when all of us "old geezers" go out for breakfast now and then and bitch about politics , politicians , economy and yes , women on occasion .:icon_lol: At soon to be 65 , my wife quit worrying about me years ago .

It only gets one more shot at me. I've had to recover from "Java Exploits" twice in the last year. "Bastages"(Superior term!)
Both times Java got the axe during the clean-up...but...I reinstalled it shortly afterwards out of necessity.

I've got a Google Nexus 7 - Android 4.1 doesn't support Java at all and won't download it....which is a bit of a bugger because one of my web genealogy sites runs java for it's display. oh well.....:isadizzy:
