Updated propeller texture for Bismarck13's Beaus uploaded!

A good day to everybody! :wavey:

As promised, I just uploaded an updated 3-blade propeller texture for Bismarck13's Bristol Beaufighter series.

Since all Beaufighters were equipped with flame dampeners, the only realistic exhaust effect possible is just a thin smoke trailer, which I included.

Enjoy!

...but I also have a small problem with the MkVI....

....I am so sorry for being the usual pest, but with the kind of tweaks that I do, I can't help but noticing details.

And this is not rivet-counting.

When I turn off the engines of my Beau MkVI, as soon as the blurred prop disc changes to the prop blades slowing down, the left engine spinner shoots away, spins with the propeller and comes to rest in thin air away from the plane, as shown in the attached shot.

Sometimes it remains buried in the ground, sometimes it just hangs there a few feet from the center of the propeller.

Did anyone else notice it?

Cheers!

Not all Beaus were fitted with flame-dampers kelti. Early MkIF and ICs particularly those used in the Western Desert and the Med didn't. They became the norm from the MkVI onwards.

This is a point of information only, not to increase the great mans workload.

Oooops!

Thank you for letting us know Hewman! Darn', all the WWII pictures I have of Beaufighters show the dampers...unfortunately I haven't got a book dedicated exclusively to the Beaufighter.

But this means Bismarck has to adjust his early models...:d

Cheers!

I think he's done enough, but that prop spinner is a bit odd. :wiggle:

Kelti,

Thank you so much for the prop textures!

Hmmm

The prop spinner was actualy pointed out to me already, but I could not duplicate it myself. It is probably an easy fix, but means I have to fix all of the late model Beaus

Okay . .

Found the problem. I fixed the model files and uploaded them. They should be available soon. I used a newer model for the Mark VIC, so it has the new wheels and other improvements of the Mark VIF. It does require that you swap a texture file that I also included in the upload. I will probably upload complete aircraft in a few days, however, I have three aother variants I need to fix the hub problem on first so I can upload them.

:banghead:

Also . . .

If anyone has some pictures of the exhaust without the dampers lemme see them. Making exhausts is not much difficulty . . .

:wiggle:

Woah...thanks, Bismarck! Thai is appreciated! I just installed the model, well done! :ernae:

Thanks, pal!

Bismarck, you're a gem!

You already reviewed and corrected the spinner problem, improved the landing gear and other things, now you are offering to create a model without the flame dampers, JUST for the MTO.... :typing: ......:jawdrop:
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
:friday:

Cheers!

Is the prop texture for all the Beaufighters? Or is it for only one of the ones uploaded?
