I've uploaded 5 new skins, should be available soon. Full information will be forthcoming, but you have to earn it. The aircraft in question completed the last and largest raid on Gibraltar, while others of the type were serving on the Allied side. What is it? First correct answer will win as a prize five lovely skins by a talented painter (not me - his identity will in due course be revealed) that you get to share with all the other members here!:jump::icon_lol: Enjoy!

@Owen - nope, no polka dots this time...

@lewis - the model has been out for some time, but hasn't gotten the publicity it deserves IMO.

They got those up a lot faster than I thought they would, which didn't give you much time. Good effort!:applause:
Yes, it is the DR MAW SM.79. The painter is Manuele Villa, who allowed me to upload his FS9 skins for our CFS3 model. Thanks Manuele!:medals::icon29:

On the night of June 4/5 1944 - one day before D-Day - 10 ANR SM.79s made a torpedo attack in Gibraltar harbor, hitting a total of six ships, four of them severely, but sinking none. 3 SM.79s were forced to land in Spain on the return trip. It was among the most successful air raids on Gibraltar. An ANR skin is one of those included.

And one more up, this one by Campbell Troy. As with the others, it was originally made for the FS9 version:

So what your saying is that....................YOU CAN MAKE FS9(have it) skins work in CFS3(heck yes i have it)????????????????????????????

It is based on how the model is mapped, so usually no. Only if the same version of a model (by the same designer, e.g. not just any two P-51s) is present in both sims will it work.

what was the use of the SM79 in the ANR and ICAF? Was it just used transport duty?

I'm on holliday, see you in 2 weeks!:wavey:
