AGUS You need to update that picture so I can see what it looks like on your machine..... Now that you've got it working.

Nope, there are not different versions of the same package, unless someone else uploaded my stuff. LOL

I just forgot to list that first Coastal Defense pack. Ding Dong, Ding Dong....

I'll have to add the instructions to Copy all of your SCENEDB\World\Texture to your root TEXTURE folder too. I figured everyone had already done this for MR's scenery.
 
Great work Pen. These airfields and their infrastructure are things of beauty. Am I using the wrong texture set for the Pacific? Somehow the kunai looks a tad too green against you airfield perimeters!

Just what Texture set is that?

This is what it looks like on my PC. I use PacTex2 with the mods I laid out in that other thread. It returns the PacTex2 set to the intended Landclass.

BTW, did you and a Chainsaw have at all of the trees? I don't see any...???
 
Really nice Pen...Really. :applause: Thanks a bunch! Plus I'm starting to get more comfortable adding scenery to this sim, after installing all of your PNG strips. That's a whole gaggle of nice bases. :ernae:

Those trees will look better if you install the "Generic_6.bmp" where you have your LDW Tree Library set up. But, it is a personal thing. I thought they were too bright, that's why I included that additional texture.

I don't know wha happened to the trees. I've added all your bells and whistles and deleted the filelist fron the PNG scenery folder. I have activated the 2 GSL files. Still no trees...a mystery to me. Could be termites. I have both of Lindsat's tree packages added, and I don't get any missing object messages. I haven't added the Layouts...does this matter?

The Layouts are for Mission Builders so they don't have to spend all of that time placing AA Guns and A/C in revetments. All they have to do is delete the the ones they don't want and/or change the type of A/C.
That's all they're for.

Do you have a tree called Generic_6_Lrg? That's what they are. No missing Item message though makes me think they're there, just not showing up..... Texture.... Did you update it from the Airfield Building Package?
 
I haven't run up the scenery yet, but in checking, based upon the posts above, I can't fint the Generic_6_Lrg in my objects dp folder at all. Where did it come from? It is in my scenedb inf textures folder though.
 
That's an LDW Tree, don't look in your OBJECTS_DP, it has a different name there, look in Mission Builder for Generic Tree 6 Large or something very close to that. I'm not at my PC right now.
 
Yup, I got the Generic Tree 6 s, m and l in MB. Unfortunately there's no (info folder) picture available there. I have all the LW/LWD libobj and tree packs but never used that one tree type - probably because I had no way of knowing what it looked like in advance. Thanks M8 :)
 
Fantastic job, Pen! I really enjoy all of your PNG sceneries.

I have a slight problem however: I cannot get rid of the original Port Moresby runway.
The landclass BGL works only when I put it into the main scenery folder, the exclude BGL does not work at any location.
Any idea for this strange behaviour? Thanks in advance!
 
SW, if you do a little test mission, and place one of the Generic Tree 6 Lrg into a mission, do you see it when you fly the mission?
 
SW ,the exclude is to get rid of the stock CFS2 Runway, that's all.
Sometimes with LC BGL's and Excludes you have to adjust how high or how low you have them in your Scenery Library List.

That won't do anything to the GSL scenery.

RAV....I just looked again at the pictures you posted above and another thing that's missing is all of the heavy bomber revetments on Wards and Jackson. Nor do I see any of the AA Revetments. You're missing a bunch of stuff.

Sorry, Pen, but I don't see this alternative texture in the pack. Is it in one of your other uploads?

It's in the Airfield Building Package which is required for these airfields. Look in \TO SCENEDB\TO INF\Textures
