More eye candy from John "BRAVO/4" Whelan! More textures for the Hornisse. This time for the cockpit - changes the blue to a more realistic grey. Many thanks to John for creating these! Uploaded with his kind permission.

That brings back some good memories when John and I were trying to figure out how to do that change of colors! I tried to figure it out, and he actually fixed it, we are such a team!!:icon_lol:

I don't remember doing that much to the cockpit, I think it was you who did it Scott, I did the external pit tweaks, was a long long time ago!:icon_lol: Original A team!!

Thanks for uploading Barry!

@Eddie - I intended to mention you in the description at the top of this thread but was in a hurry and obviously over looked that - I apologize. You are credited in the download description and in the "read me". Thanks to you both for creating these textures, the cockpit looks alot more realistic.:salute:

@Superashi - Click "Warbirds Library" at the top of this page and then "What's New". Or they can be found in the CFS3 skins location.

FOO FIGHTER, no need to apologize at all my friend, wasn't looking for any kind of credit, I assure you,lol It just brought back memories of having to ask John (again!!) to sort something out for me. I did a simple greyscale of the vc texture, but since I don't own a paint program of any sort, I needed John's help. And he came through like he always does, if he hadn't, we wouldn't have this texture fix!

Ha, I remember hearing from Mathias, when we finally got this package out-"What! This has been fixed!!!???!!! Where can I dl it??? Schnell, schnell!!!!!!!!!!!":icon_lol:

Playing devil's advocate and making myself unpopular (yet again, LOL)
Neither the blue nor that grey is anywhere near accurate.
Luftwaffe interior surfaces from late 1941/early 1942 onwards were painted in allover RLM 66, a blackish green. A good starting point in photoshop is RGB 53/56/51 while this tends to be a bit on the bright side and needs some toning down/shadowing.
This color is barely ever captured right on photographs and often tends to become a bluish tint once run through digital filters, hence the many photos on the web with blue German interiors.
Also keep in mind many captured planes have been repainted later.
Here is an excellent example of an interior that has been repainted post capture to a bluish tone but the pilot seat retaining it's original RLM 66:

Another spot of RLM 66 where the Staurohr label text is

and finally, what RLM 66 could look like in a sim: :)

Grief, that 190 looks fantastic! (By the way, I still have the GC 190 beta - any way to release it? So much work already done...)

Useful colour reference - noted. I'm thinking of doing a Wilde Sau 109 from JG 300, so it'll be a good place to start...

I do not think John or I will argue with you on that Mat! LOL At the time, anything seemed better then that bright blue color the 410 came with!
