Question: Given that, at least visually, the Mossie we're discussing here has a slightly squarer, pointier nose than the older Mossies we have, how is this one a Mk VI? The nose of the older FB Mossies looks perfect to me, but his new one looks like an NF XII or NF XIII. Was there a batch of NF XIIs or NF XIIIs that were converted to FB IV standard?

I was originally working on Mosquito NF.XII when John asked me to produce a FB mkVI from the work. I aimed for a quick Xmas release on the FB mkVI and never looked into the differences in the nose.


I am happy to hear you have an older model with a perfect nose.
 
Yea the nose isn't quite correct for a Mk VI, but I had already pushed Steve on extra bits he never planned on doing, (he actually did more to the model than anyone has probably noticed) especially in the time frame we gave ourselves. Overall I'd rather look at this Mosquito than the stock version any day!:untroubled:
