Urgent Help Needed!

Okay. To find your FS9.cfg, or anything, can be done by "left clicking" your "start" icon at the lower left corner of your screen. Then "left click" on "Search". In this case, we are looking for FS9.cfg or Scenery.cfg. Regardless of other settings, you will be told where the file is located. Go to that location and back up your FS9.cfg (FS9.cfg.bak) so the a new one can be built, or install the virgin scenery.cfg (after renaming the old one as suggested, .bak) so nicely supplied by Wild Bill, and see what happens.

Will give this a try before the wrecking ball comes out. Unfortunately, busy work week. Might not get to try until later in the weekend.

OK, so here's the first update:

This went a little strange for me. I ended up uninstalling FS9 along with UT and GEP. Reinstalled FS9. To my amazement, all my planes including payware were there in the aircraft file. Not sure how that happened. I had the window checked saying to remove files and folders. In fact everything including my add-on scenery stuff shows up. But, none of the scenery stuff worked. Then I went to the add-on section of FS9 and clicked on each thing to add it, then restarting FS9. For the most part my scenery's worked again.
Looks like I'll need to redo some things though.

The plane thing has got me a bit perplexed though. I did prior to this make a copy of my aircraft file and put it in a different place. Could FS9 have read this and copied it? One other thing. I tried some of the payware planes and at least one of them seemed to fly "a little" different. Maybe it was just me. Have to do more experimenting.

So I guess in the long run, this hasn't been anywhere near as bad as I thought it was going to be.
