Coming from a NavAir background I might be out of line for saying this, but I really wonder about the professionalism of our shiphandlers these days, both Surface and Submarine type.

Also the grounding of USS Port Royal last month off Honolulu. The ship was well outside of the normal navigation channel, ran up on a coral reef. $25+ million in damage.
