Roger, the only other thing I did was take the latest simconnect.dll from my windows/sysx folder and copy it to my main fsx directory, then all was well.
Thanks to all for the posts here, to some it was easy but to people like me not so easy right off the bat.
That's why this forum is the first site I visit in the morning to see what's going on.......thanks again.
It must be a Vista problem. The only folders in windows like that are System and system 32.
Oh well this addon looks fantastic but I've yet to find a way of seeing it for myself.
