Trying to get above campaign to work,but missing some objects:

Maskriders Palau scenery pack...

wep_SBD_drop_tank and I got an error message in third mission saying:can't find model oildrum????, I have seen oil barrels and oil tanks but never an oildrum, but the mission refuse to open because of this error . Can somebody assist??

I'm on the road but can do some research - oil drums, is that "wf_c_oildrums"? If so it is found in one of Wolfi's scenery packs (CFS2_Library_Objects_part_7). http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=45&id=6058

Not sure about the drop tank. It should have installed with the SBD pack. The mission should load without it as it is not used.

Maskrider's Palau/Peleilu scenery should be found on LW's site (currently down) and I don't see it on Maskrider's site. I think Maskrider's Micronesia 100707.zip ( http://mask-rider.net/MaskRider2008/downloads-scenery.html ) covers/incorporates the same scenery.

I looked through the campaign but couldn't find anything obvious. But if it's an oil drum, there are two main possibilities.

He could have used Nanni's burning oil drum: http://web.tiscalinet.it/Nanni/CFS/files/LLights-1.1.zip

-OR- (Less likely)

He might have used Wolfi's library objects, pack VII: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?action=jump&catid=45&id=6058

Now that IS strange! Because I never used or even downloaded Nanni's light. Things have changed un the Essex campaign since I uploaded it - substituting the VN Essex for Collin's USS_Essex-44, and now a lit barrell, both of which were not on my hard drive at time of uploading. I still tend to think it is Wolfi's oil drum - "wf_c_oildrums" and the game just loaded without it..

After installing Nanni's lights, I flow as never before, in generally many strange things are happend with these campaigns,thats for sure. I do often have problems with missing objects, in 50% of the cases I forgot to install them, in the other 50% it is to be blamed on the constructor of the campaign i.e. forgotten to mention in the "Read Me" . But anyway thanks to you for your efforts.

One of the reasons for this is that I and Rami do not list the downloads necessary for the main downloads. IE: When the README calls for Maskrider's Palau, MR_Palau calls for LWD Trees or LW Library objects. I (and most others) do not list these in our READMEs. we leave it up to the user to read, understand and find these downloads.

Also we have so many different downloads installed, we sometimes forget to list every object used. That's our fault but having a good beta tester before publication could usually avoid this error. Over a year after adding it to he library, I'm finally getting some feedback on this campaign. :applause: Please continue to point out any errors you find. Thanks...

Campaign length error

One mistake I made was in making this campaign too long. I should have divided it into 2 phases/parts. When a campaign runs over 30 missions, there is a good chance you will get kicked out for losing too many wingmen. (Something that is out of the player's control when those idiots crash on landing or choose to fly into each other.) This can be fixed by going to the CFS2.cfg file, [CAMPAIGNS] and reducing the number of wingman losses and continuing to fly the previous mission... :icon_eek:
 
I will certainly go ahead re.keeping you posted whenever I find errors not only you but also others,making campaigns so far I have been able finally to get the most of the campaigns to operate, un til now I have only given up Rami's Malta Spitfire despite he and I where struggeling hard to sucseed. The other is Dombral's Ironclad and he is obviously not interested in solving problems. I use , what I call "blocks of objects" i.e. all objejts for Achims Bases, Rami's GSL Ports etc. these will be installed in every fresh CFS2 used for a new campaign, + I follow the "Read Me" but still I miss something, But be sure I am spending hours searcing before I call SOH.
