Hi John,

I was just looking at the !pac excludes. I only have numbers 40, 41, 42, 43, 50, 51, 52 and 57 active. There were about 80 of them originally. There must be a reason why I only have those ones activated but I can't remember why.

I installed number 53 and removed your Carolines excludes and voila! No more crashes and all the airfields and islands look great - thanks a lot!

I sorted Yap out as well - there were old airfield BGLs still active.

I think those are the numbers previously identified & used for my Solomons & Marshalls projects.

Glad it worked.

I'm moving through the area, spotting dayglo orange landclass bits & fixing them.

Bit of an issue with Truk lagoons LC. In 2012 I used Jean Bombers original LC. But now I can see a couple of orange blobs that will need fixing, so I'll need to recreate his Landclass as best I can...
 
Hiede, Stoney, thanks for chiming in - so it looks like the basic package is sound, with just a few rough edges, so not too bad for one of my earliest attempts at scenery creation.

Rhumbas 2019 VTP excludes were not available at the time, but they really do help enormously with larger project areas ( notwithstanding my Excl8 issues in getting reliable excludes that don't cause CTDs - in some locations) :banghead:

Ludo, you'll likely see some water slope issues . At the time I created this package, I only knew how to make A16N flattens using FSSC, which is not really useful for water/shore issues.

Now I can use FSFlatten for small areas, or the G2K/sbuilder/cfs2autocoast method Maskrider taught me for larger areas, so we have tools that can improve on any small "blemishes" you might come across.

I'm sure most users would not even notice them...

I think you need new gsl for your fixes.It looks like Woleai is a little north east from where it was and the gsl doesn't match up.We just added the MR Micronesia,put it above the Carolina Islands and added the gsl/Everything seems fine.We didn't need or use any of your updates,

The original package included gsl for Ulithi-Yap. If you install that gsl AFTER you've installed Maskriders Micronesia gsl, you'll find it moves MRs gsl for Woleai (& Falalop) to the new islands location.

It was moved to match Rhumbas mesh.

The patch I created used the same G2K file from 2012 so these "new" files are in the same location as the 2012 files for Woleai.

I've decided to update the package so that all the airbases are in the same airbases scenery layer, so you can leave MRs Micronesia package untouched, it won't be needed.

The airbases will remain as per the 2012 Carolines package, but with the airbases in a single scenery layer.

I have everything working the way I set it up.

Looking forward to the new Carolina Islands your working on.

We use mostly your scenery and MR scenery for what you haven't covered.

Right now my son is doing mission at Palua at the end of March and beginning of April 1944.After that he will install Hollandia and do the missions there.
