Vector Land Class - New Zealand

Thanks for the link Naki.

If there was one place worse than Australia in default FSX it must be New Zealand. Aces should hang there heads in shame for what they did to NZ.

The screenshots look very nice.

I wonder when it will be released.

Looks like ORBX has some competition.

You are not wrong there ...for some reason our summer landclass in default is a lot better than winter when the horrrible brown appears. ..it should really be the other way around to get even close.

Once released (4th quarter this year I understand is the target) it wil be nice place to fly the Tiger Moth and the forthcoming Tecnam (both common aircraft in NZ) :salute:

More pictures of VLC at link below...looks like it will come with an airport or two including Omarama which is one of the top gliding spots in the world (the world champs have been held here a couple of times).

Edit: Also the payware Realnz airports wil fit in seamlessly

This will do for FSX what Christian Stock's mesh and landclass did for FS9, and hopefully open the floodgates for the same level of scenery addons.
It looks excellent, if it gets to market before Orbx does NZ, it should do very well.

That looks lovely, and quite frankly makes me get teary! I know where my heart is.

Hopefully a scenery I have in development will fit in nicely.

Best
Dan.

This is looking fantastic and goes on my must buy list. I hope both islands are included in the package and that it isn't split into two packages like it's competitor will be.

I also think I should be getting some royalties from these developers. Tiger Moth VH-BAL makes an appearance in one of the VLC product shots. This little plane also appears in one of the screenshots on the back of the packaging for my ORBX PNW DVD. She sure gets around!

Charl ..you probably know this but there is already some NZ airport scenery under construction at which will fit in and is quite an advanced stage including Mike's Hamilton ..

and a member of NZFF is doing Masterton (the Home of Peter Jackson's Vintage Aviator which pumps out replica WW1 aircraft, the SVAS and the Old Stick & Rudder Company - Corsair and Kittyhawk owner)

..and another is putting together Wanganui

and Robin mentions on his web site about doing Hokitika, Queenstown, Milford and revising his Kaikoura and Timaru scenery for FSX, so things have burst to life for NZ suddenly.

Anthony, I believe the VLC package comes out in one for both the South and North Island.

Dan, cant wait to see what you have up your sleeve! :mixedsmi:

Yep, Timmo says this month so I guess that means anywhere from now until Tuesday.

Now if only we had some nice NZ registered light aircraft....
