Verizon internet and FTP HTML

A friend got a notice from Verizon, as of Aug 01 2011 no longer will they (Verizon) allow FTP html using their internet, looks like simple html webpages cannot be done using verizon internet anymore.

my friend called me yesterday to find out what it ment, he said he just got it last week.

They are probably removing the FTP access rather than preventing HTML webpages being hosted. The end result is pretty much the same though as without FTP I would imagine getting HTML pages onto your webspace would be a tad difficult.

could be that they're talking about web pages hosted with verizon?

I did a quick scan at Howard Forums and didn't see any mention of ftp vs html in VZW data plans. You might ask over there.
