Jan , don,t spose you could find me an ejector seat , be ideal as me PC armchair flying seat :jump:

Ian, if you can find one, it ain't gonna be cheap! When the USN changed the ejection seat system from the ESCAPAC to NACES, I could have possibly gotten one then, but didn't think about it. Now they are expensive as all heck. Probably around $1500, and that would be the low range.

And believe me, they are NOT comfortable! Nice conversation piece though! Have always wanted a Martin-Baker seat from a USN F-4.

Ok,this latter one is sold but if you keep checking out this site or eBay ( and there are more ) you might be able to pick up something for a reasonable price. I stumbled over many ejection seats for sale, it's usually the shipping cost that spoils it ( for me that is.. ) Nah, i'll stick to helmets, O2 masks, goggles and such.. :cost1:

hehe, I own a Martin Baker GQ7a (F104G Starfighter, german version) that is displayed on the website you mentioned:

http://www.ejectionsite.com/gq7aseat.htm

I used it as home office / flight simming chair for many years and it was very comfy to sit in (and boy, you sat _in style_ in it hehe).
When we moved house my spouse "talked" me into lending it to an air force museum here for a permanent display :-(
I love this seat and admire the brutal technical design of it.

Cheers,
Mark
