Sure, I already have two in build, theres basically four types with angled deck, two types of hurricane bow and two types of elevator layout, some had wedged shaped additions to the bow elevator and some had the Starboard aft one moved a significant distance aft.

Its all a case of time.

No dis-respect to Leyte or her crew. Some carriers did several tours, some did less.

Leyte only served in 1950 as far as I can ascertain, but, for example Boxer and Princeton served for four years. However all served with distinction.

As far as I'm concerned the No. 3 Elevator to the long hulled carriers were welded shut to make room on the hanger deck. The No.2, deck edge elevator carried most of the load.

Not wanting to hijack the thread - but also wanting to answer Wiltzie's question.

It should be noted that this process involves using an AI carrier that is following a pre-determined route and not a carrier being controlled using AIcarriers2.

In the movies that I made showing off the SNJ landing on the USS Monterey, I made a recording of the SNJ landing on the player controlled version of the USS Monterey, which had the ability to control the animations of the LSO. What I didn't show in the movie was that after the plane landed on the deck, even with full brakes applied, if I cut the power back to idle, the plane would start slowly rolling backwards. Even when I did manage to hold it on deck for a few seconds, it would start hopping around. None of those things happen when you land the same plane on an AI carrier.
