wow.....thats all I can say.....wow
The model is looking really good, but I'd rather see the aircraft without the fences.
She was much cleaner looking without them IMHO.
Most Panthers did not have them installed.
Maybe you can include a bgl that removes them, just to keep guys like me happy.
Also, if you look closely you will see that ther is no "notch" at the outer edge of the intake . There is a smooth transition from the leading edge of the wing to where the intake begins.

Mal, the intake 'notch' was added when wing fences became the vogue, eventually all late Panthers (F-5) had wing fences and the intake notch (thumb empennage) added, later builds at factory and earlier ones retro fitted. Many F-2 had the wing fence retro fitted and some had the revised intake as well. Post 1953 photographic records show most Panthers carrying wing fences, pre 53 its a bit hit and miss with F-2s carrying a smaller style wing fence and the original intake shape.
The VS Panther matches a F-5 post 1953 pretty well.
Hope that helps
Michael
Hey,
What can I say, I'm just an early model kind'a guy. Those were the versions as originally invisioned by the engineers and designers, before the "mod" guys got a hold of them.
I'm just a purist at heart.
Ohh I agree, the smooth intake looks much cleaner, though I do like the small fence version as well.
