Vertigo Studios Spitfire?

Well choice is a good thing and personally I like to see different developer's ideas and interpretations of a particular aircraft. I can understand how this is a headache for developers in such a niche market but sometimes it's just unavoidable. I haven't yet purchased any aircraft from Vertigo Studios but from what I've seen of their work I'm sure that this Spitfire will be stunning when it's completed. There are 24 marks of Spitfire and many sub variants to choose from so we are pretty far from saturation point as far as I'm concerned. I'm actually working on a couple of variants myself at the moment though neither are Mk Vs, thankfully...

I cant say what I would like to but lets just say that I would prefer a vertigo spit any day.

Me too mate, just wish someone would do a late bubble canopy variant, or even a seafire or sea Hurricane, or my personal favourite a Blackburn Skua!

I think Vertigo should go ahead with the Spit despite Just Flight's product. I still think they should do an F4F Wildcat even though JF has already put one out. To me Vertigo has demonstrated high quality and I think there's enough room in the sim world for several offerings. I second what Naki said too --- still looking for a nice P-40E.

The F4F is still sat on our modellers desk.

Stop saying that! Your last post mentioning it got me buying some references on it, now I just need some longer days so I can finish off Blackburn's last aircraft and the other couple of things I'm trying to get done by the end of the year!

The model looks very promising Dean. Personally I think there is room for 2 Spitfires. Some people will prefer this one and some the announced JustFlight one. And I know people who will want to have both.

Cheers,
Huub

I for one will be waiting for the release of your MkV Spit. I have in the past purchased the JF Mosquito and unfortunately I am not a fan of the artwork used in their virtual cockpits, so I wont be buying any more of their offerings. On the other hand the detail and quality of your cockpits and external texturing is outstanding and IMO on a par with my other favorite suppliers A2A and Mathias of Classics Hanger. So you have a gauranteed customer here. I already have your P36 and helcat so this one will add to that collection. With your MKV and A2A's Mk1, I will have a fantastic brace of classic spits. Then I just need a comparable MkIX and the stable will be complete.
Now if you could just find the time to slip in a Ju88 for my xmas stocking....or a Bv141, Bv138 etc etc

I agree. I like how geometry looks in JT aircrafts, but I'm not a big fan of their texturing style too.

It's good to have a choice.
