VFA-125 Rough Raiders Merge with VFA-122

VFA-122 is now the worlds tenth largest air force in size with the merging of VFA-125 Rough Raiders. VFA-122 will have over 100 aircraft and 1200 personnel. VFA-125 was formerly the legacy Hornets west coast Fleet replenishment squadron for decades. VFA-122 was a Superhornet only operation, but now adds a mix of legacy hornets and a few T-34 Turbo Mentors, alongside their E/F models. According to the Flying Eagles CO, they will save costs by using cheaper to operate Supers alongside legacy students during training flights. Rough raiders legacy jets will begin taking on VFA-122 markings as they go through anti-corrosion work.
