Thank you for the nice lead in, Dr. David!
After the review at Avsim surfaced I exchanged emails with Graham (Wantok) about boosting his sales, if at all possible. So here's my offer to anyone that buys VFR Appalachia by April 5th, 2011. Grab Graham's great work and I'll offer a free copy of the West Virginia 4.75m mesh. Or if people are interested in photo based scenery, I'll offer the 2.38m mesh and 1m photo scenery for $15.00, payable through PayPal. And no, a PayPal account is not required, they take credit cards. The photo work and 2m mesh normally sells for $35 through my site.
I'd like to mention that it's more than mesh, as my work involves accurately positioning the airports, along with eliminating those that no longer exist. And there's work done to eliminate or reduce the plateauing effect that higher resolution mesh seems to create.
My offer is rooted in me being a simmer first and foremost. So I was and am very happy to see Graham develop scenery around airfields I like to fly in or out of. More sales for Graham means greater incentive to continue making similar packages. From a business standpoint, with my site coming back on-line soon, getting more users of my work will hopefully generate some positive words around the vast FS community. And if people like West Virginia they might come back and look at the other products that have been done and that will be done. And I have a TON of material just waiting to be worked on.
So buy VFR Appalachia and get something for free or for more than 1/2 off!
But a personal disclaimer: I'm in the process of getting my house ready to sell. It's been a tiring task for this gray haired man, but the end is getting closer and the light at the end of the tunnel is not a train. But I still have things to do, such as seeding a 3,800 sq. ft. lawn in the next couple, three days. Files for West Virginia are on my site, but it takes a small manual effort to generate links and other things. So if you have or will be buying VFR Appalachia please be patient for my work to be processed. You can PM me here at SOH or send an email to
Sales@LCSims.com for additional information or assistance.
I believe you'll enjoy flying around VFR Appalachia as much as I do and that the LCSims products will make things a little better, in it's own way.
A couple of screenies showing Graham's Martinsburg (KMRB) inside VFR+ WV and a couple of the type of airport work done in a LCSims product, the last being Mingo County Airport (4I0). Mingo is a fun place to fly into and out of!
