• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The page wants you to install Silverlight, which I guess is Microsoft's answer to Flash. Anybody here have it installed yet?
 
The guy's an idiot, he had a receipt for everything in his bag! Maybe he was just having a rotten day. :isadizzy:

I don't have Silverlight installed and won't install something just to watch a clip. I have enough crap installed as it is, most of which I never use or never knew I had.

Here is a very long clip of the in-store security video. From watching it several times, it appears that the greeter was himself a bit on the "over-zealous" side in his approach, which may have been a contributing factor in the altercation...

If anyone intends to be violent, it pays to check on who you intend to do harm.

At an end of term party at college (many, many years ago) a thug gatecrashed the party and when asked to leave, he removed a student's front teeth with his fist, then turned on another guy. The other guy was the brother of a student who was on leave from the Royal Marines, he was a commando, a poor choice to take on in a fight. The marine was talking to a little Dutch guy, but he went on later that year to win a bronze medal at the Tai kwan do world championships. The thug had a big surprise, it was all over in about two seconds. To rub salt in his, not insubstantial wounds, an off duty copper at the party arrested him. He was awarded 6 months in prison to think about what he a had done.
 
Had that happen a few times on the security device not being disabled when you pay for a DVD or PC game. Just because you set off the alarm doesn't mean you need to go nutso because they ask for your receipt. Another case of "Dumb A$$".
 
Sorry about it not playing or asking to install Silverlight. I got it off an MSNBC newsfeed. Guessing MS is trying to promote their Bing streaming video more. :rolleyes:

What a way to get us punters to install "Silverlight" - I saw that, thought "Go Away in short sharp jerky movements"... and did. Microsoft is cluttering us up too much.
 
I don't think the greeter was one little bit in the wrong. The guy snatched the clipboard out of his hands. The greeter thought the other guy was trying to keep from getting arrested. The guy thought he was going to bully some elderly greeter like you normally see at WalMart. But he ended up picking on a Marine and got what was coming to him!
