Vietnam for CFS2 Beta Release

That's odd Kelti,

I re uploaded the page, please try again...Works on my end.

Sorry about that.

Dave

I MAY have it. I did some look around and at one time MS put up SP3 update as an ISO file. An ISO is format that can be burned to a CD and when done gives you a CD and in this case it is a update CD. MS since killed the page but I jumped onto the WaybackMachine and it looks like WaybackMachine saved the SP3 update ISO.

I'm donwloaded the SP3 update ISO. Its got 30 mins on the download. I know years ago I burned 2 ISOs to CDs. (Command & Conquer: Tiberium Dawn when EA made it freewere) If it dose fully download I will try to burn it to CD so it can be snail mailed. Also will post the WaybackMachine link.

I'm doing the download using IE8 that should be on John PC. If not let me know as I do have the IE8 install file on my PC already. I can burn it to a data disk as well.

Edit:
I got the ISO by starting here. http://web.archive.org/web/20120428...soft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=25129 I clicked on the Download button. On the next page I click on small blue "Start download" text and dlownloaded the ISO. I also burrned it to disk.

Hey Allen,

Got a question...I was able to D/L the service pak3. Now, Do I need a iso burning program to get it onto the disk?

Yes you need a program to burn the ISO onto a disk.

My PC came with Easy CD Creator 5 back in 2003. If you have a disk burning program check around with in it. With Easy CD Creator buring a ISO to disk was done by going to Data CD project than File-Record CD from CD Image. In the pop-up window I had to change the Files of Type from .cif to .iso than once loaded burned it just fine. Also try right clicking on the ISO and see if your disk burning program will give you an option of burning the iso to CD.

You can also us a program to do a ISO mount/virtual drive. I have never done this but know others that have.

Got 'er on disk Allen. Thanks. Turns out my comp had a image burner from Lsoft tech.
Right clicked on the iso and it did the rest.
Tested by putting it back in the tray and the installation screen came up. Sweeet. :02.47-tranquillity:

The only one I know of For CFS2 is ready to download:
I had to remake the panel because of freeze up screen issues
But other than that, this is a real beauty.

Thats cool!

Love that A1-E No Dice, but is anyone else unable to get the gauges to show in that superb VC panel?

Sorry stoney,

The plane would freeze the screen and then CTD.

I had to rework, pretty much replace the panel and most gauges
and pretty much get rid of the VC to fix the problem.

Sorry sir,

Dave

(she is a beauty though.)

Ok, thanks No Dice. I tried to replace the VC gauges those I knew worked well, but even they would not show in the panel.

Dave,

Any chance you could post the original Razbam panel.cfg here? If it had a VC displaying originally, it must be something simple, like a incorrect bitmap filename.

Dave,

My hunch was right.:redfire: I changed your VC entry

[Vcockpit01]
Background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=1024,1024
position=7
visible=1
ident=
pixel_size=1024,1024
texture=$primary_panel instead of $A1H-vc

& now I get gauges showing. The positions are wrong, but they show, & are dynamic (needles move in response to a/c movements).

When I get some free time I will try to use the multiple VC entries in the original panel.cfg you posted above & change the gauges used to similar CFS2 gauges that we know are CTD free using Notepad. It should then just be a question of fine tuning the positions to fit the cockpit view.

Check mail Dave...

Thank you everyone for the time and efforts.

Bearcat got a copy to me and I will have it up on the site
later today for All to enjoy.

OK Sir,
I will hold off on posting.........Hope you do not mind
But I had a special request from one our Viet fans so
I mailed him a copy of the one you sent, with the
understanding that you were working on improvements.

Not sure how you can make it better, but we are all on
pins and needles.

Thanks again to all of our project contributors,

Dave
