Virga Alphajet AP Anomaly

falcon409

SOH-CM-2025
I don't know if anyone had this problem or even tried using the Autopilot function for the Alphajet. There was none for the Jet but the cfg file did allow for it's use and so I used the GTN750. About 98% of the times I tried to use it the airplane would go into an uncontrolled rocking side to side so I had to do without the AP. Trimming it to fly hands off for more than a few minutes was difficult so I spent an entire 400nm flight doing nothing but trimming, endlessly trimming, lol.

Virga was able to finally locate the culprit (a fix for my problem) in the ai.config. They mentioned adjustments in the PID's under the "StickandRudder" section. I don't have the fix yet maybe in a day or so and I'm looking forward to getting back in the cockpit, so thanks to Virga for taking the time to troubleshoot a very specific glitch that no one else had reported. Well Done!

Now the only thing they need to do is improve their textures. They're FS9 at best.

I feel as though the Alphajet has been considered "done" and they've moved to other projects. The fix I was told was done has yet to be passed on even though I suggested simply posting the PID changes and I could make the necessary changes. Since my previous post there has been no further replies and texture upgrades or new textures have not been discussed.

Yeah, then the least they could do is release a paintkit so that talented painters could work their magic on this model.

Anyway, this release did not inspire confidence to buy future releases by this team.

Agreed, they seem to have a "what you see is what you get" business model.
