This may be something you've already tried, but did you test the scroll wheel to see if they activate that way?
 
Switches/Knobs only work if you set them to Lock , in Settings -> General Options -> Accessibility -> Cockpit Interaction System -> Lock ( instead of the default Legacy mode of MSFS ).

Don't forget to switch back to Legacy if you afterwards use another airplane..
 
I just bought it. Absolutely not worth the price at this point (IMHO). Agree that the pilot is ridiculously undersized, and that textures are not of the detail or quality typically associated with payware at this price. The airplane seems to shake as it flies through the skies as well. Not impressed. Hopefully they will issue patches to improve this product.
 
Thanks for that! I really want the Alphajet but I'm definitely going see what happens as more buyers relay their questions and requests to the developer.

Reading some of the posts on their Discord, they (developers) seem to feel like what we are seeing is an optical illusion and that the pilot is actually the correct size. They show several RL shots to illustrate that.
 
Okay, Ed...I went back and decided to give it another try (KSAF-KABQ at sunset)...and I have to admit, it has potential. It needs some fixes, I think (English placards in the cockpit would be REALLY nice!). Here is the pilot in the model and in real life. Yes, I think the pilot needs to be rescaled. Also would like more option for external stores. We also need a good, layered paint kit (The Portuguese AF, Luftwaffe and TopAces camo liveries are on the top of my "want" list). Still....for $34 US...it needs some work.

Kent, I tried adding the same pilot to the rear seat with no adjustment to the size. . . .Hmmmm

Ed, thanks for the manual! Lenny, I did what you mentioned, it all works now. Never used that setting up until yesterday but am going to test it more on other models.

Kent, I feel the same way about this model, I like it and the flight model & systems basic depth are good but agree totally, they can easily improve it and make it a gem. We've needed a good Alphajet for a long time, Fingers crossed on updates.
 
Pilot size can be probably be adjusted in the "INTERIOR_LOD01.gltf" like i did for the T-33.

I had to have it so I bit the bullet. My first flight was from Otis AFB (Cape Cod) to McGuire AFB (NJ). I have the Garmin GTN750 and use the Autopilot for many of my airplanes and used it for this flight. I was going to do a second flight from McGuire to Langley so after take off I climbed to 10,000 and engaged the AP and the airplane started to violently rock side to side. Disengage and it went back to normal straight and level flight. Anyone else have this problem?
 
I have not engaged autopilot yet, but the constant, high frequency yawing while flying by hand was the flight model issue that I alluded to yesterday. Hopefully they will continue to tweak the flight model.

BTW - There are TONS of reels out on You Tube that show Top Aces Alpha Jets taking off, landing and flying...for me, they were worth watching, as it appears that they have "the boards" (speedbrakes) out pretty much nonstop from "the perch" (positioned downwind at the approach end of the runway) to touchdown. I've altered my landing technique...and by gosh...it works. And yes, I'm smitten with this little jet...it just needs some additions to see it's full potential.
 
Another thing I've discovered about the Alphajet is that the Dornier-built variants were a bit different than the Dassault-built variants (the initial release model reflects the latter). I've posted a suggestion on their Discord that they consider adding at least an external model for the Dornier version (the major difference is a pointy nose and no strake on the nose). We'll see. Again, You Tube is a wealth of info about this airplane.
 
I'm putting this in the hangar for the time being until either they figure out the violent wing wag in AP or I find that it's something I'm doing to cause it. I don't care to hand fly it on a 400nm or longer cross country.
 
The Virga people are swearing up and down that the sizing is correct...but it looks to be about 15-20% small to me. Just wish they would release a paint kit...

They seem unwavering in their opinion on that subject. Unless there's a groundswell of opinions from customers I think we can forget about seeing any change in the size of the pilot.
