It might be 'only' a port-over, but it's a pretty nice aircraft, especially considering the price! :salute:

Thanks Roger; btw I love this 'Open clouds' add-on and how it improves the look of the skies and clouds! :jump:

Very nice shots, I always love a Navy bird.

Does it port over easily or is there some tweaking that needs to be done?

A good model of an aircraft I really like, but $20 for a warts-n-all FS9 port over ? I think not.

Its a pity, because Pierre L'Heureux's paint schemes are top notch.

No, Alphasim/Virtavia have done all of the FsX tweaking themselves; you get both Fs9 and FsX versions in one zip file.

Haven't found any 'warts' so far, except for the usual port-over limitations (No self-shadowing, bump maps and a very slight 'glass vs. clouds' issue.)

You could always get the freeware Fs9 version and use Pierre's paints on that one, two of which are included in the updated version as well. Must really try to get that 'Dirty SEA' paint to work btw.
Don't know if all the gauges work on the Fs9 version, the smoke effects need adjusting and there's no sounds included, but otherwise it still works OK.

I guess it's down to personal preference if one should buy this or not. I like the models, textures, sounds and how it flies; if find those things more important than the the native FsX features.
