Virtavia A-6 Repaints

Duckie

SOH-CM-2024
Thought I would start a thread instead of cluttering up the Screen Shots thread with comments and replies.

OK, so here are some screenies of my VA-35 repaint from circa 1969 aboard USS Coral Sea on their WESPAC cruise. Again, it is an A_6E all dressed up like an A-6A. It's essentially complete I just will not have time to package it up until early next week. I will also be doing another VA-35 bird, however this time it will be circa 1973 aboard Nimitz and it will actually be an A-6E paint! Anyway, more to come.

Beautiful job. Makes me want to resurrect the VLSO and USS America, CVA-66 but I just haven't got the skill any longer to "land on the boat" even the COD so I'll just fly my Skyhawk on the "terra firma" LOL! That's why the Navy has no 77 year old carrier pilots. Even the admirals at the Pentagon aren't that old any more.

Uploaded today and available in the P3D General Military Repaints section of the library. The model by Virtavia is of an A-6E (TRAM) Intruder that is all dressed up as an A6-A from VA-35, circa 1969. These textures are completely updated for FSX and P3Dv4.x and have been expanded to 2048 x 2048. All panel lines and rivets have been redrawn to a finer resolution with accompanying bump (normal) files. All stencils and markings are new as well.-2025-jun-11-014.jpg-2025-jun-11-004.jpg
