Virtavia Mi-24D Hind ... Released

We went back and forth on the Attitude gauge during development. Watch videos. This one is somewhere between Western style and Russian style. Drove me nuts since I know the difference but this is correct. And because of that I don't know why that graphic on the differences remained in the manual since it didn't show how this one works.
:ernae:

Yep, I have seen plenty of videos. You did model it with functionality between western style and Russian style, but the horizon line indicator is still reversed. The guage operates correctly in principle, but is showing opposite bank angle to the aircraft's actual position.

Look at this image. The blue airplane at the center is looking at the rear of the aircraft. The horizon line on the "russian guage" is tilting in the direction of the aircraft's bank.

I don't want to continually pester on this, but I'm puzzled why this is such a hard issue to understand. I'll give up at this point, since it seems that the few here who can fix it can't visualize the proper orientation.
I can't see how one can fly using the included attitude indicator for reference at all since the horizon line is showing a turn/bank in the opposite direction. If the brown and blue colors were inversed, things would be good. The blue/brown horizon line on the included ADIs in the screenshots should tilt to match your view out the window (along with the symbolic airplane tilting to show rate) depending on your orientation. Oh well. Enjoy the helicopter, but I would be wary of maneuvering extensively in the clouds. At least it does like like a beautiful 3d model.

ya know, the hind is a downright homely looking bird, but you made it look gorgeous Hani.. :) great job..

Welll, I try not to pay too much attention to these things.. I know that f the ground is above me, i'm in trouble :;lol:;.. everything else can be coped with..

Pam, I took it up this weekend and apart from the metric instruments had no trouble. Metric for me is problematic and I just eyeball everything as long as I'm not hitting trees and land on the right field I'm golden.

Absolutely stunning repaints! :)

Mr. Safranek, I just sent you a PM in regard to the following two images as supporting evidence of what I am sure is quite annoying persistence with the issue I identified.

Note: I just found the above image and did not include it in the PM.

Hi. I just read your PM and looked again in the game. I'm not sure what happened because it is obviously wrong now and I'm sure it was ok before release -- I did get to fly it and verify the manual. I will relay my findings and the images you referenced to the developer. This is a nice chopper but needs this bit fixed.

that also looks awesome Hani.. think you could do a white wolf with blue eyes, like a skinwalker shaman??

I do not know this painting, it is real? has references?

Above I was talking about this https://www.google.com.br/search?cl...g&biw=1883&bih=829&sei=g8U_UeCWKs-60QH9_oG4Dg

Nooo, its not real. at least not a real painting.. Skinwalkers are real, ask any Souix or Navajo, but the idea is total fantasy.. You see, America doesnt use the Hind. Yeah, we got some pretty good equipment of our own but well, candy always looks better from the other side of the counter if you know what i mean. I didnt know the tiger was real either ( shows how ignorant i can sometimes be )especially with the japanese kanji above it ( or is that katakana? I cant tell any more ). no matter what, its beautiful and very befitting this extraordinary bird ( the Hind, not the model: no offense intended towards Alphasim. they did a good job )

here's a good read on skinwalkers.. the skinwalker chronicles 1 & 2. Skinwalkers are maelevolent to the people they attack, jbut they arent mindless; they're shamans. Weird, bizaar, enigmatic, scary as hell and amazingly powerful.. Kind of like the Hind :D.

Enjoy the read :).. they're mostly true stories.

Agreed...and as I promised above........if this paint was made available...I would buy....so as of 15 mintues...I now own the MI-24....once again because of a talented painter. DEV's please take notice of this.
