Virus warning TCE_707.exe

I'm not sure what to make of this but having just completed a McAfee full scan on my pc the above file TCE_707.exe is reported as a Trojan. Apparently it lives here C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Captain_Sim\707\tce\TCE_707.exe
I've googled the file and there is plenty of forum talk and people having difficulty in getting rid of it.
For the record McAfee has quarantined the file. Anyone got any further knowledge on this issue?
I'll also post this over in the FSX forum

As long as you got the CS 707 from a reputable source I'd say it's a false positive. Google any process on your computer and something will come up screaming virus. Check with Captain sim forums and their support, before you do anything with it, just in case.

Yes, I'd echo this. McAfee is an absolute monstrosity with a track record of false positives on .exe flightsim files.

Edit - I have now done some Googling myself, and looks like this is a genuine trojan. Following the other advice with those posts found via Google should do the trick.

I got rid a Macafee as it dumped a good few of my FS files, many of the Captain Sim .exe's and other stuff including other programs, all were genuine and legitimate files, unaltered since install. It had to go, went back to the bloated Norton, which has never caused me any grief, apart from eating resources.

I would agree with Clarke. TCE anything from Captain Sim is usually their aircraft repaint manager. Every aircraft from them has one with maybe the exception of the space shuttle. As clarke said, if your 707 is purchased, I'd contact Captain Sim about an updated version. I was surprised when I got an updated F-104 while trying to install an older one. I haven't gotten any false positives about the C-130 from Captain Sim either.

TCE= Texture Configuration Editor

Thanks to kilo delta on the FSX forum I've taken his advice and dumped McAfee and installed Microsoft Security Essentials. Further research identifies the file as the Texture Configuration Editor supplied by Captain Sim. I think McAfee has wrongly identified this file and the reason why so many people have had trouble getting spyware programs to remove it is because its not spyware or trojan in fact I think quite harmless. Unfortunately I can't find the quarantined file so it is temporarily lost. Thanks to all for your help and advice.
