Viruses in the news

and not the computer kind either.

I have been paying close attention to the world news and the new viruses that are popping up, Bird flu in China and novel coronavirus in the middle east (and on the move it seems).

The most interesting one that has the possibility of being a major problem is the novel coronavirus.

It is still pretty rare but the death ratio is really high of the 34 known people who have contracted it 20 have died.

It is not viewed to be a possible source of a pandemic as it still seems to be hard to contract even though it may be passed human to human.

Still with a mortality rate of almost 60% its something not to sneeze at... :kilroy:

The way people travel all over the world today, I don't see as they've got any hope of keeping some new disease in check. And as big as the human population is worldwide, I think we're overdue for some kind of plague.

jeez another one?? whats thats now, 4/5 world killers in the last couple of years??? more people are killed world wide by the common flu ...

Viruses in the news ??!!

I believe it.........came down with the crud after reading the NY Times last Sunday....
