vista 64 installer issues??!*

Hey all,

Tell me. Why are installers not able to load up properly in vista 64?

Also, am I also correct in hearing that programs are also having issues installing into Win7 64 as well?

Just curious.

What installers? I have only had one problem installing an addon in Vista 64 which is what I was running before, and that was the Realflight Hellcat. I am now running Windows 7 and it is practically the same thing as Vista. I havent really had any problems installing programs in 7 64 bit.

I think its more a FSx SP1 issue...It works fine with FSX SP2 for me...But not for SP1

Maybe some people forget to install the proper runtimes (e.g. 32 bit runtimes for 32 bit applications).
I had less problems with installers under Vista64 than i now have with Win7.
Fortunately the blue screens which i got with Vista64 are now gone with Win7 64.
