Vulcan Fast Taxi Run -Southend Airport Live- 16th May 2026

I saw two of them scramble at the same time at the RAF Finningley airshow 1976.
Both of them took off and immediately pulled into a vertical climb BEFORE raising their gear and they then hung in the air over the runway at maybe 100ft, causing a local earthquake which shook us all off our feet before they slowly INCREASED throttle and climbed up to maybe 1000ft and nosed forward into a "normal" climb out. Majestic.
 
I lived on V-bomber bases as a child. It was thrilling to hear them taking off in the dark as I lay in bed.
