W7 Review and Release

W7 will be out tomorrow (10/22) for those of us in the US.

I have nothing but disdain for Vista since I bought my new system 3 months ago. Harry's review of W7 certainly nailed it for me to switch platforms.

I see absolutely nothing in that review that would make me want to upgrade to w7 from vista ultimate 64 bit...

I think I'll pass.

I installed the W7 release candidate (RC1) and used it for several weeks...I liked it. I'm now on Vista 64 and have to say that, aside from a slightly faster boot up time and slightly easier method of disabling the UAC and related MC annoyances, W7 isn't significantly better. FSX runs just as well on Vista 64 as it did on W7 64 for me. YMMV...

You should have pre-ordered, they were doing it for £45/50 not too long ago.
