Looks to be all about momentum to me. And possibly a shallow spot of water as it seems most of their runs end in about the same location.

Lets not be too skeptail......some guys with big flat feet and super speed can do it...as surly as a Snow mobile slides over open water,or a flat stone can skip on water..... But lets leave J.C. out of this.No Body Here Was There then!!..as you know for so many, many its a "LEAP OF FAITH".......here in GATOR country..if one of those 12' GATORS decided me for lunch...Ya Can Bet Your Bippy ...I'm out of there ..Running on water??.....FEAR is a prime Motivator!!

After "Walt Disney "made the concept of the "Plausible Impossible" Years ago part of us...YES! Elephants can Fly!!I seen Dumbo do it many times....For That Matter a "Bumble Bee"..Now We all know aerodynamically he can't fly...DO IT???

I agree beano, let's leave any religion out of it, post wasn't meant to bring up that turf.

It is unusual and given the video you linked of the lizard (which I had seen many times before on TV), I don't see why a man (or woman) using a proper technique of skimming couldn't walk (or run as it seems to be) on water.

I am not trying it though, I fear my speed is not up to snuff in these distant years. :icon_lol:

That's pretty funny stuff. I'm always amazed at the tribalistic nature of the people who spend alot of time on these novelty fringe sports. I sky-dived for a brief period of my life a few years back, and the the sky-diving community was a bohemian tribalistic mix of successful/not so successful people who let it all hang out...an eye opener for sure.

Back in the 1930's several of my Mom's aviation friends were also into skydiving, which I believe was called "sport parachuting" back then. Most people figured that anybody who'd jump out of a perfectly good airplane had to be crazy or suicidal. Now it's an accepted sport, however extreme some may think it is. As for water-walking, unless you have big shoes like Mickey Mouse or big feet like Donald Duck I don't think you're gonna get much farther into the H2O than the guys in the video. :d
