Walrus in FSX

Walrus wings

Thanks for that :) I notice though that whatever key combo you've used has opened the top canopy as well.
Not a problem.
Cheers

Regarding frame rates, as I am using Dx10 preview mode and have been doing so for nearly a year now, port-overs are catered for by Add-on converter X which may have a negative effect on frame rates. When Steve Parsons new shaders and scenery fix program is available it is possible that port-over frame rates will improve.

To be fair, dx10 mode is going to cause massive problems with anything port over, addon converter or not... so its not really the developers fault. New shaders or not, its still an absolute mess.

Wingfold works, but it needs to be when the aircraft is stopped, unlike some in fsx, and by default fsx doesn't asign it a key.
So far in x, the only real issue is the water skipping, otherwise she ports perfectly... but amphib issues in fsx are more common than hamsters at a rave.

heh, you've never seen hamsters at a rave? They're always in the corner with the glowsticks... but the badgers with the wild eyes and whistles are the ones to watch out for...

I'm in the progress of doing new textures on this one too Matt, nowhere near as good as you obviously, but this is a fun little ship to paint. Hoping that once we get the float points fixed, I can get a reference on her waterline for some serious ageing and weathering...

Got the wingfold to work on the Walrus, but it still wont on my Proctor for some reason!
The cure for the water skipping is under test BTW, but it will be up to Martin & Dave to release.

Enjoyed painting this bird, really well done model. :)

nice work, reminds me i'd better spend a day working on my masters, instead of writing my book... or messing about with other things...

edit @ 0741: fuselage baking now nearly complete and the lines starting to go back on, slow work, but progress is Progress :)

No trouble with animations, wingfold here. Nice to see repaints coming!
OK. An experiment. I've had this one on the back burner for a while, and I had to make a aircraft and boat crane. I wanted to see if
an acceleration catapult could be used to shoot a floater. The FSXA version has cat points defined, the start is about in the box painted on the cat
deck. The aircraft will need cat points defined. I have no points for the aircraft yet.
See the readme file. Have not got it to work yet, and it may not, but I'll keep fiddling with it.
Otherwise, Robs carrier gauge will do the trick just fine.

Darn that's looking good Matt, loving the detail there, 4096 bases?

yup, 4096*4096 base textures... a lot of work, but i'll be sure on release of any paints to do versions of them in 1024, 2048 as well as 4096, just so end users can pick... :salute:

yeah the one I released is 1024 and 2048, I didn't want to shove too many resolutions into one folder :p

(I swear i'm half tempted to do a steampunky air pirates scheme on this old girl :D )
