Wanaka, NZ Warbird AI

.. Apparently they are no longer there. I've searched but cannot find the AI package any where else. Would anyone else be able to supply it? Thank you.
The Wanaka package was done some time ago, and sadly the referenced AI I used at the time, are indeed gone.

But Nigel is on the right track: the ACG Duxford package at flightsim.com
Name: acg_iwm_duxford_fs9.zip
Size: 62,173,971 Date: 11-05-2011 Downloads: 2,744
has suitable aircraft which can be subbed into the Wanaka aircraft.txt file (in bold red below):

AC#1,150,"AI Douglas DC-3 DDay"
AC#2,220,"Convair CV-580 Sierra Pacific"
AC#3,200,"Lockheed C-130 RNZAF c.2002"
AC#4,220,"Douglas DC-3 Pionair"
AC#5,220,"P-40E Warhawk Airshow"
AC#6,220,"P-51D Mustang Airshow"
AC#7,220,"Hurricane Airshow"
AC#8,220,"Spitfire MkIXe Airshow"
AC#9,220,"F4U-1A Airshow"
AC#10,220,"AI P3-C VP-6"

Suitable subs for the C130 and P-3 can be found in the RNZAF AI package at flightsim.com:

This leaves the Convair 580 which exists on the internet (search Greg Pepper), and the Pionair Dakota which I think is a flyable repaint. Perhaps one of the ACG Daks would do...

I don't know if any of this has been any help at all - I always intend to repackage this with planes included.
Takes a bit of permissioning and so on, I'm lazy about it is all.

Oh, and the supplied AFCAD is for the RealNZ scenery, now freeware, by Robin Corn.

Hey Wing, a real pleasure indeed, to see you around here - still very much enjoying your scenery addon, too! :encouragement:

Ever thought of doing similar for Tauranga?
Be great to do some 'buzzing' over Pete Ham's place...
Maybe even learn how to fly while we're at it :wiggle:

Talking about Pete Ham's place, I visited Pete at his amazing place on 14 January 2015 (Classic Flyers NZ, Tauranga Airport). Spent almost the whole day there. Meeting Pete was brilliant: a great guy! Had a great show around and watched Pete flying the Boeing Stearman and the Grumman Ag-Cat. Classic Flyers NZ Museum's collection is a true treasure. Also finally met and visited the aircraft (de Havilland DH-114 Heron) that featured my repaint Pete requested for at this forum about one year ago.
Thanks, Pete, for having me at your place and for the brilliant craic.

Cheers,
Maarten

P.S. Whoops! Sorry for highjacking this thread! ;)

Well, not an airshow, but in similar vein: the Great NZ Light AI Project, which populates Tauranga and much more!

[SIZE=-1]FS2004/FSX GNZLAP Redux - The Great New Zealand Light AI Project. This brings to the NZ skies over 250 AI aircraft in the sub 5 tonne MTOW class. It is a stand-alone package containing textures for 118 payware Cessnas from HTAI, 130 complete freeware AI planes, flight plans, AFCAD files and startup flights to help spot AI traffic.

Or search for "acg ai" at FlightSim. Maybe ypu can adapt these packages to your scenery. But I doubt that FSFrance ment these, as this site is closed since several years.

Wing; much obliged for the valuable HU - be nice to see one of your great fs videos when you have the chance - I remember the one you did for the Grumman 7 :encouragement:

Hey Mate!

A lucky man indeed! It's the men themselves: Commander Pete Ham (l), the Dutch holidaymaker (r).

Yes, Pete is a great bloke!

Cheers,
Maarten

Hey, thanks guys. I do appreciate it very much. I installed the Duxford scenery and WOW! That is some of the best, most interesting scenery I have.

My word sir, you have a memory for trivia!
My sights are set on another project one day, involving a certain square-rigged 3-master, believed undergoing sea trials somewhere off the Pitcairms
:ernaehrung004:

Thanks for the kind words. :biggrin-new:

Was a real pleasure catching up with you Maarten and having the time to show around the Museum.

LOL; an Oliphaunt never forgets...

Hmmm...square-rigger off Pitcairn; now that sounds like a plan to look forward to :)
