• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Wapiti pilot and gunner are grey ghosts

I down loaded the markI and III here and I can not get the aircraft to color the people in the aircraft. I have re-saved the Pilot-bmp in all of the CFS2 formats and still no Banana. Does any one have a fix for this problem. The aircraft shakes in flight which is a problem to fix also. anyone that have solved these problems let us know. :banghead::santahat:
 
I sought out the original files & reloaded the Wapiti. Although there is much I would change now, I can't reproduce the problems you describe.

Whilst I agree the aircraft shakes a bit, the readme states I used a Potez 25 airfile for convenience, if anyone has something better they should upload it.

The only way I can get the crew to display as plain grey is by deleting the bitmap from the Wapiti texture folder. The crew bitmap is 565 format, it should show without any issues.

Just use my Vickers Vildebeast/Vincent ac.cfg and/or airfile or Baldy's original for CFS2, either as a start point or replacement, should be very close to the Wapiti.

I have installed the orig version of CFS2, and installed it again same results. My system is 20 years old and was made along time ago. It is fast and keep up with all the others. This just happens to be one problem I can not solve so I will let it pass. Thanks for all the help and understanding in the attempt to correct this. The rest of the aircraft is going strong and responding well. :banghead::banghead::banghead::dizzy::pop4:
