Jan Kees,
It is awesome to see all of these repaints coming! As for Patty Ann II, with full invasion stripes and Malcolm hood, it looks just fine as is - however the tricky aspect comes down to when exactly was it, that the aircraft was modified to accept the Malcolm hood, and when was it that the aircraft switched from full invasion stripes, to the cut-down, identification stripes.
Also, there is one special detail about Patty Ann II that you might be very interested in replicating. Because of the fact that the B's only had 4 gun ports, Thornell had 2 more gun ports painted on, as a scare tactic, making it seem like his B model had 6 guns. The way this was done, by whomever painted the fake gun ports, was to mimic the red-tape build up around the actual gun ports, and then paint the gun barrel where it would be. This can be seen in the following photo:

With invasion stripes applied however, these details might have simply been painted out.
There is actually a new-build P-51B that is currently under construction, that will be finished in these markings when completed, with the two extra gun ports painted on to match.
