Warbirdsim P-51 Update

Bruce, this photo may help you out - of the same aircraft, though a bit later in its life. As you can see, there is a clear indication of the serial number for the tail. You can also see where RAF green has been applied to the fuselage and upper wing surfaces, and by this time, the aircraft has been modified to incorporate the Malcolm hood. Also, the lettering for "Big Mac Junior" should be yellow with a black surround.

Here is the final version of 'Beantown Banshee'...

...and the Hi-res version of 'The West "by Gawd" Virginian'.

The next one will be "Starck Mad/Even Stevens"...;)

Stephan, are you going to post these or are they for private use? Either way, they sure look nice !

Guys you are going to have to stop painting, as I think my resolve has buckled and I am going have to get it.

The only problem is going to have to wait as I can't really use my PC at the moment, due to have surgery on my ankle and having to keep me leg up etc. So for the moment using a laptop.

But once I can get back on to my FSX machine, this will be added the HD.

Fun detail of the last pic is that Bill Overstreet, the pilot of Berlin Express, later flew 43-24823, Bud Anderson's 'Old Crow', renaming it 'Berlin Express' as well. Looking good Bruce!

Meanwhile, I had forgotten the CM on the nose of Betty Jane, and started on 'Ole II', William Hovde's second aircraft of that name (and with a lot still to follow)

There are 6 repaint in the FSX download section, 5 in the skins and 1 in the others (finger trouble).
