Water effects overpowering! Floatplanes are boiling...

I read somewhere long ago that there was a repacement file to tone down the crazy floatplane water effect? I so much as have the tug push me (SHIFT P) and I am surrounded in a giant mist cloud that encompases the whole plane. It just looks stupid. Like my plane is red hot and making the water boil.

Anyone know that water effect replacement of which I speak?

Interesting. I would like to know this also.

I had thought maybe it was a setting in the individual airplanes.
