Way around the limit?

I enjoy creating my own missions and working on a campaign to release eventually. There is an annoying thing where if have too many planes, ships, objects etc get a message about a 64 g limit.Forgive me but is there a way around this? This often prevents from creating the battles etc I want.Mission Editor is a great tool, can recreate battles accurately if take time. Thanks in advance.

Dasuto247,

Yes. When it says "return to editing," just click no and the mission will save. I run into this all the time building GSL harbors, including Naples, the one I am working on now.

If you want an explanation as to why this is occurring...before Windows XP came out, text file could not exceed 64 kilobytes (kb) or they would not be recognized / saved by the Windows software. Ergo, if said mission or file was larger, those not operating XP could not use it. Because CFS2 dates back to the year 2000, this warning is hard-coded into the program.
