Tomorrow I head to the recruiter to take me to the hotel - Wednesday, I go to Basic at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

Basic is 10 weeks - obviously I'll be gone for that long. AIT is 5 weeks - I'm doing Artillery at Fort Sill in Oklahoma.

I don't know when I'll get a chance to get on a computer and check in, so tonight is my last night. :)

Thanks for all the support folks. Next time you see me, I'll be PFC Jordan Sampson. :)

Hooah!

Well, congrats CS. My basic was also at Ft. Jackson but only for 8 weeks. They couldn't wait to get us to Vietnam. :) Fortunately, I had a good MOS that took 6.5 months at Ft. Monmouth NJ.

Be wary of drag-ass hill; stay away from the green monster ice cream truck and the beer. That'll kill you in the morning running 2 miles. :)

Man...I remember the night before Basic in a hotel room!
Good Luck, Jordan...and thanks for answering the call! :salute:

Good Luck Son! You will make us all proud.

Thank you for serving your country.

Hey Jordan keep us posted on how you progress in your new career Amigo. Thanks for your service Amigo!

Salute PFC. Jordon Sampson.

You're lucky to get Ft. Jackson for Basic, could be much worse, say Ft. Bragg, that desert down in FayetteNam. :d

May the best of luck and good fortune travel with you Cybr. Keep your head down and come back sage and in the best of health. Cheers! :salute:

Artillery at Fort Sill in Oklahoma i'm so sorry. That is one of the last MOS I would want. Fort Sill yuk! Anyway have fun with it. It will be what you make of it. :salute:

Good luck at basic, and see you when you return home. Thanks for volunteering to serve. I remember that night at the hotel before going ot MEPS as well. Crazy adventure that has turned out to be.

You'll love Oklahoma in the winter. ;)
Always be on time, always do the best job you can on any task you're assigned, and always take care of your fellow soldiers. That last one is especially important when you get more senior and have troops assigned to you. Good luck with your training.
