What causes this....??

Well, it looks like I've done something to my setup.

I've been installing, testing and uninstalling the Milviz 407 since purchasing it two days ago.

Today I noticed that whenever I load a flight, I get a reload of the air, land and sea traffic.

My flights regardless of aircraft load as expected. I can start without a problem and take off. After about 60 seconds the loading screen pops up as if it did not completely load beforehand or there is something else loading. Then my flight resumes as normal. Bizarre, very bizarre.

Not sure what has changed or why that is occurring.

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance.

WarHorse47, suggest posting this in the Milviz support forum. The guys who made the aircraft will know the answer or at least can fix things if there is a problem. Good luck.

It wasn't the Milviz product.

I had not changed any of my settings and all of a sudden this appeared. Since my post I reduced my traffic settings, and it seems to have cured the problem. Why it started in the first place will remain a mystery.

After loading the scenery and weather data, Load AI traffic normally would show up briefly on the loading bar. Overloading the sim with AI traffic would definitely cause this.

I think I might have solved it.

The other day I was tinkering with some FSUIPC settings related to time of day ("Keep FS clock synchronized"). What I think was happening is that when I started my flight, FSUIPC reset the time which in turn adjusted the flight plans for the AI which then had to reload.

Anyways, I deactivated that feature and haven't encountered the issue. Guess I better go back and read the manual.

I hate it when I do that. :adoration:

Your mention of the scenery acting as if it was reloading sounded identical to my symptom in Prepar3D v2. Sure enough. I unchecked the FSclock "keep synced" setting and the reloading appears to have stopped.

Nice detective work WH!

Thanks. Seems I've been doing a lot of detective work lately. Gotta remember to take a break and do some flying from time to time. :biggrin-new:
