What FS9 Is In Need Of

Kinda sounds like a semi-polite "F-you" from Bjoern.

Yup.

And how many developers out there in either FS9 or FSX just may have read someone's wish list and said to themselves, "Hey, I'd like to try a Dominie/Beech 18/Ercoupe/YMF-5/AgTruck", got inspired to do it, and now the sim community is much richer for it?

One to two. At the very best.

Look, non-commercial developers have their own "wish list" while commercial developers will always settle for the revenue-generating, i.e. most popular aircraft out there.
If a developer *really* doesn't know what plane to tackle next, (s)he will ask you. In a poll. And decide by majority vote.
Everything else, you'll have to do yourself. Or in a collaborative effort if you can find the right people.

To imply that someone is attempting to dictate the content of your experience merely by offhandedly expressing their own desire strikes me as somewhat ridiculous.

"The world is in need of communism!"

Tell that to most Westerners and you'll be chased out of Dodge on the spot.

"I want communism!"

You'll be labeled as a lunatic and receive suggestions to move to North Korea, but you'll be left alone in the end.

"Is there a communist country somewhere on the planet or a communist revolution going on?"

This is a good way of putting it. I'd gladly provide an actually helpful answer to that one.

Bonus:

"I want a communist country!"
- "Well, there's North Korea..."
"That's not good enough! I want it like Marx envisioned it!"

I however do not think that will happen as any new modelers are likely to go straight to FSX and forget about FS9.

True for aircraft, but there are still quite a bunch of new airports being done for FS9.

Hawker Siddely HS125 Dominie TMk.1

Hey Tom, hey guys.
I would like to try to create this aircraft with FSDS. As I still tend more to FS9 than to FSX, it would be a nice task for me to enhance the FS9 library.
My recent one is the unknown flying wing Driessen D-III ( it's not yet totally finished flight dynamics have to be overhauled), but could probably already be available next week. Then I would have some 'free space'.....what do you think?

Referencing Magoos links I followed a thread to this helpful site... you folks are really starting to convince me, cut it out:icon_lol:.

I agree; excellent way to get gmax, tutorials, Help, and the registry fix installed.

No need to do the MSTS install unless you want to build trains.

Highly recommend the tutorials to get introduced to the tools of gmax and the Help system. You will not remember them all but you will know generally that they are there and will do certain functions you need to know. Thereafter the Help system will guide you.

Once done, then you are ready to learn the processes involved with building aircraft or scenery.

What FS9 is in need of?

Well, there are a gazillion airplanes. Not so many quality scenaries. What FS9 is mostly in need of imo is more quality areas like what Holger Sandmann & company has done for the northwest.

Nice aircraft there Andreas.

Since all this thread really is, is another "wishlist" thread, let's not bring down any hammers. If somebody else doesn't want a Nemesis NXT in their sim, that won't keep me from wishing for one - even though I already know that the owners of the real company want to put unrealistic restrictions on use and also want some hefty sums of cash from prospective developers.

(Hows that for a back-handed way of adding my entry to the wishlist? :icon_lol: )

Not necessarily, as the Dominie is a nice aircraft.

What puts me off is the way people are asking for it and [aircraft no one else but you cares about] in general.

This.

Oh, don't worry, you don't have to be another Piglet. Just go at your own pace. But just, well...go.

If anyone needs a prime example of user-turned-developer, look at OleBoy. First paints, now models. And dang well modeled ones to boot.

Bjoern I dont want to get on the wrong side of anyone here at SOH. Sorry if I offended you. Its just an idea I had for a new aircraft project cause SOH do alot of Classic Aviation.

Okay.

But as I've said, it's easier if you're willing to contribute from the start or worded your request differently.

I'd love to see some more of the very early airliners / aircraft in FS, there're a host of Fairchilds / Avros / Dorniers / Junkers / deHavillands &c that could do with representation. There's something about bush-hopping in the early craft that jetliners just can't match IMHO.

Milton Shupe and Oliver Fischer have scratched the surface with high quality models, but many of the others really show their age by comparison.
