What happened to Jim Dhaenens?

His KMUO scenery is great.....but had a few problems. The Juniper Butte VOR frequency was at 118.00. The ILS was the FS stock airport and rather misaligned. The MUO TACAN (channel 87X or 114.00) was missing as well. Also was hoping he would be able to play with the attachpoint system on the arrestor cables across the runway so that the tail hook on my F-15E could catch it when I have had to come in fast with battle damage...

I have emailed him asking if he could make the above changes or if I could get permission to do so myself but no answer. Seems like he just disappeared. What happened?

To borrow a line from the American Bard: "The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated."

I went back and looked. Your email was caught by my ISP's SPAM blocker for some reason. I'll take a look at the Nav stuff. I've not been able to get the FSX cables to work in scenery. Your best bet may be a third party program like Arrestor Cables.

Aha thanks!

Just one note, if you implement the MUO TACAN (114.00 MHz location N42 02.43' W115 52.48') you will need to change the frequency of the Saylor Creek VOR since it is set at 114.00 at the moment.

Hi Jim,
There is trick to make FSX cables work: you need to associate the cable attachpoints with an hardenned surface. It seems also that the plane need to touch down on this hardenned plane before crossing the cables (and not before) : if it is not the case the plane will crash after some acrobatic stunts...
So don't hesitate to use a long plane...

Feel free to mail me any question if you need more details...
regards,
Sylvain
