sorry for starting this new thread..but i wanted to start over.

if i build my own from newegg ,i know i can re-use the case and power supply,BUT will a new motherboard fit in the old case properly?..i mean do the have a generic connection point? hmm..ok do they all (motherboards) have the same screw points?...and if not...how do i find out if my new board will screw to the old case?..OR can i use my old board with the DVDRW and DVD and my currant HDD,ive also got a nice graphics card, but its an AMD..but can it be used to get me working and then be replaced later with a better intel unit?

what if i just get a new motherboard, cpu, and use my curant HDD and those parts listed..with my vista?...this again until i could afford the SSD and new win7-64?

how do i find out what the motherboard is?..so i could look at a skeematic (OMG spell check let me get away with that word..lol) of the board?i have so many questions yet i dont know how to ask them correctly....i feel so :stupid:

wait..how about:
motherboard
Intel CPU
SSD for my OS and FSX

then use:
my old HDD with Vista
my DVDRW/DVD (i have two now)
power supply 750w
ect.
